The Kent School District has a tournament every year since 1969 featuring an unusual format but seemed to work for the participants: 9 man volleyball. Not all the schools fielded a full team. This year the tournament featured 5 schools: Lake Youngs, Meridian, Crestwood, Ridgewood, and Sunrise Elementary schools. This year the event was held at Meeker Middle School.
Mark your calendars for Saturday November 29th at the ShoWare Center in Kent. Â In partnership with the Seattle Thunderbirds Community Sports Foundation, you can be apart of the Support a Sport night featuring the Seattle Thunderbirds vs Kootenay ICEÂ based out of Cranbrook, British Columbia (that’s Canada).
