Team Hodgepodge Has Fun at Local Volleyball Tournament

Team Hodgepodge, made up of folks from the Seattle and Portland area, played together for the 1st club tournament of the 2014 season. The tournament held at Evergreen High School in Vancouver, WA was great for the kids. There were about 9 full teams and the play varied from novice to elite. No official tournament winner was announced due to the format of the tournament, but all the kids had a great time. Photos from the event can be found here.

Nicholas Tonel a Sr from Odea High School, Luke Frost a Freshman from Interlake and Owen Macauly a freshman from Odea represented the Pugent Sound Region admirably, and were joined from Freshman from the Vancouver, Portland, and Salem area. Thus the name Hodgepodge was formed. The next tournament will be on March 15 at Huntington Middle School in Kelso, WA. If you are interested please fill out the form below.

New CEVA Boys Volleyball Policy

CEVA is the USAV region operating in Oregon and Southwest Washington (Vancouver) and they have a new policy concerning boys volleyball.

Boys Tournaments are open to any boys under 18. Boys DO NOT have to be part of a team to play! They can come as individuals and we will find them a team to play on. They DO NOT have to know HOW to play! Each tournament will start with a 90 minutes skills clinic followed by friendly tournament play. A one time $25 fee covers all 3 tournaments! The only direct cost to attend these tournaments is a one-time $25 CEVA annual Boys membership fee – good for all tournaments this year.

This is a pretty rare opportunity in this age of highly exclusive, highly priced organized sports. Send this info to your friends, your kids, your students and your club parents. They can get more info at https://www.facebook.com/CEVABOYS/events.

by Puget Sound Boy’s Volleyball

These try outs are sponsored by the Puget Sound Region and are open to all boys. Please registers for a Boys Tryout membership on the Puget Sounds Regions website www.psrvb.org. The purpose of the tryout fee is to cover you in case of an accident, gives you information of your rights as a player looking for a team/Club. The $5 fee can then be applied to the team registration fee for which ever team you want to play with. We will have Regional reps and team coaches at each tryout. They will be there to fill in their current teams. All ages are welcome and we can direct you to teams closest to you or to team who fit your needs.

As of 12/8/2012 there are 52 boys signed up for the try outs. They are mixed between all 3 sites. We will find teams for all those who want to play. Posted today
